How did we book this flight?
Since we were flexible with our flights and airports, we actually booked something more unique. We started our journey at Laguardia Airport (rather than JFK Airport). The reason why is because we found a better deal for premium economy (in fact, the flight was $300 cheaper per person!). If you’re flexible and creative, you can find some amazing deals! Note that we each earned an additional 90% miles since this is the first year of platinum status. Earning a return of 25,884 miles per person is practically a free upgrade! On top of this, we earned tons of premium points, which allowed us to maintain platinum status for the next year. By having a “continual year” of platinum status, we will be able to earn 100% bonus miles on flights in 2020!
